We've Just Gone Green
What is geothermal?
Geothermal heating and cooling uses
the temperature of the earth to
help regulate the temperature of fluid that runs through pipes in the ground
and into a geothermal exchange unit in the building.
The technology has been around for decades
and is at the forefront of energy conservation because it reduces dependence on fossil fuels. It
is estimated that a geothermal system reduces energy usage by 30 to 60 %, and using geothermal
energy is recognized by the EPA as being the most cost efficient and environmentally
friendly systems available.
Here are a few important benefits of using Geothermal:
• Results in lower operating costs and lower insurance
costs.
• Significantly reduces our reliance on fossil fuels.
• Runs quietly, enhancing the arts friendly environment
for concert, exhibitions, etc.
• Provides 50 – 70% more efficiency when heating;
20 – 40% more efficiency when cooling.
